Individual Therapy

Therapy for Anxiety & Burnout in Woodinville, WA

I am providing in-person therapy sessions in Woodinville, WA, servicing the greater eastside of Seattle. Come step into my office, designed with comfort in mind, so that you feel safe enough to do your most meaningful work. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy for those who feel most at home in nature. This will allow us to move through local areas during the session to support with grounding and connectedness to the world around us.

Could I benefit from talking to someone?

Life is full of highs and lows, but it’s important to recognize when the weight of those cognitive, physical, and emotional stressors are too heavy to carry alone. If you’re experiencing any of the symptoms below, and they feel like responses out of proportion to the circumstances in which they occur, it might be time for a check-in.

Acknowledging that you need support is one thing,
actually seeking it out is something else entirely.

If you're new to therapy

You’ve been thinking about it for awhile, but are finally pulling the trigger. Yes, it’s time I go to therapy. But what does that even look like? Is it like in the movies where I lay down on a couch and talk up at the ceiling? What happens if I start crying or say something embarrassing? How will talking actually fix my problems?

These are all completely valid, and totally normal questions. And here’s what I can tell you about what to expect in working with me. My greatest hope is to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in a deep sense of connection. That means taking the time to get to know you, both the version you show the world, as well as the version tucked safely away from it. It means offering unconditional validation and acceptance, because no matter how you show up in a given moment, you are still worthy of love, care, and compassion. It means challenging beliefs that are reinforcing your suffering, and inviting you to view life from a different perspective. Finally, it means creating and holding accountability for the goals that will lead you to a more meaningful, purpose-driven life. If this resonates with you, stop waiting. Put yourself first today, and let’s connect.

If this isn't your first rodeo

It’s time to get back on the horse, but you’ve got plenty of reservations. In the past, you’ve had some good and maybe some not-so-good therapy experiences. You’re looking for something different, but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is you want.

If you’re tired of just venting in therapy, then let’s focus on action-oriented goals. If you’ve felt overwhelmed by too much therapy homework, then let’s slow it down and dig deeper at what’s really troubling you. If you’ve felt stagnant in therapy, then let’s sit down and talk about what has and hasn’t worked for you, so we can create a game plan tailored to your unique individualized needs. While it can feel scary to start over with a new therapist, I can say this with absolute certainty: I am committed to moving at a pace that honors your needs and is grounded in mutual trust and respect for where you are, where you’ve come from, and your hopes for the future. It’s never too late to begin again, so why not start today?

No Matter How You've Found Yourself Here,

Interwoven Approaches

No cookie cutter therapy agendas here; only a holistic and integrative plan crafted specifically for your unique, individualized needs. While I use skills from many different types of mainstream therapies like CBT, DBT, and ACT, these are some of my favorite modalities that speak to me both as a person and as a professional. So much so that they each have their own dedicated page. Follow the links to learn more.

A goal-directed approach that creates meaningful change through action. Less time spent in session overanalyzing and processing, more focusing on what is within your control right now. We take that information and create a plan for realistic, tangible, and sustainable behavior change that gets you the results that you want.

Your relationships, both past and present, shape the way you move through the world. A relational approach allows us to better understand ourselves in the context of those relationships, and reinforces self-preservation skills through boundary setting, compromise, and fostering your inherent self-worth.

In a world where we are constantly taught to be better and do better, we start to come up short on acknowledging what we do well. Especially useful for those high-achievers, a strength-based approach helps to remind us that we are good enough just as we are regardless of our level of success or accomplishment.

Choose your own adventure

The science says that our environment can deeply affect the way we show up in therapy. Sometimes our bodies need the calm and quiet of a cozy office; sometimes it yearns to ground itself and reconnect with the natural world. I offer in-person and walk-and-talk therapy options to honor both your needs as well as your nervous system.

What is walk & talk therapy?

Same therapy, just walking outside. There are various forms of outdoor therapy that are dedicated specifically to our connection with nature. If that is something you would like to incorporate then I am more than happy to include nature therapy techniques into our session. If that doesn’t feel quite your style, then we can just stick with the walking-and-talking piece.

What about privacy?

We will be walking outdoors in a public space, so there is always a chance that we will pass other people. Given this, I cannot guarantee the same level of privacy we would have in my office. However, I absolutely commit to prioritizing confidential communication to the extent I am able in a public setting. We can discuss all further details when we review the separate and independent consent form used for Walk & Talk therapy.

Are there any additional costs?

Nope! Rates and fees are the same as they are for in-office sessions.

What if the weather is bad or I don't feel like being outside?

Not a problem. All I ask is that you give me at least 24 hours notice if you’d like a change of plans.

Start with a
consultation

We’ll schedule a 15 minute phone call to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and determine if we might be a good fit. This is also a great time for you to ask questions about my therapy style and structure.

Getting to know
eachother

A full intake, in which I gather all the details about your life can take anywhere from 1-3 sessions. I usually encourage folks to give therapy at least 3 visits to get a sense of whether your therapist is a good fit for your needs.

Begin your
therapy work

Sessions are held either in-person at my office in Woodinville, WA, or in the surrounding areas via Walk & Talk therapy. I encourage folks to start weekly. We can begin spacing out sessions later as you progress.

Additional Information

Session Rates

$230 per session, same for both in-person and walk & talk sessions.
